How we share your Data

At T/D Studios, we take your privacy seriously.

We only collect and share personal data when it is necessary to deliver our services or meet legal obligations. We never sell your data.

If you use our website to request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email to help us verify your identity.

Your personal data may be shared securely with trusted third-party providers such as:

  • Cloud storage platforms (e.g. Google Drive)
  • Scheduling and delivery tools (e.g. booking apps, WeTransfer)
  • Analytics and spam protection systems

All such services are GDPR-compliant, and we ensure your data is processed securely and lawfully at all times.

We will only ever share your data:

  • With your explicit consent
  • When necessary to complete a service you’ve requested
  • If required by law or regulatory bodies

Any use of your likeness (photo, video, or audio) is governed by a separate consent process and is never published without permission where required.

How long we retain your Data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, including any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

If you leave a comment or submit a contact form on our website, that data and its associated metadata may be retained indefinitely for record-keeping and administrative purposes.

If you register on our website (where applicable), any personal information in your user profile is stored until you choose to delete or update it. You can access, edit, or delete your information at any time—except for your username.

📸 RAW image files from photo or video sessions are stored for a maximum of 6 weeks, after which they are permanently deleted unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Edited, deliverable images and final files are archived for a reasonable period to allow re-download, unless a deletion request is received or required by law.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

What rights you have over your Data

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to control your personal information.

If you’ve created an account on our website or submitted personal data through a form, you can request:

  • A copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion of your data (where we are not legally required to retain it)

You can also request removal of any images or content that include your personal likeness, subject to any signed agreements in place (such as a model release or commercial licence).

Where your Data is sent

To deliver our services effectively and securely, some of your data may be processed or stored through trusted third-party systems.

This includes:

  • Spam detection (to protect forms and comment sections)
  • Cloud storage (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox)
  • Booking and delivery tools (e.g. Calendly, WeTransfer, online galleries)
  • Analytics and performance tools (to improve our website and services)

All platforms we use are GDPR-compliant or operate under legally recognised data protection frameworks such as the UK–EU Data Bridge or Privacy Shield alternatives.

We do not transfer your personal data outside of secure, regulated environments, and we only use providers that meet strict privacy and security standards.

Image rights, Likenesses & Usage

At T/D Studios, we respect your image and identity. We always aim to balance creative freedom with ethical use and legal responsibility.

Under UK law:

We never use your likeness in marketing, promotional, or portfolio content without your permission, even where lawful.

If we ask for a Model Release, it is to confirm you’re happy with how your image will be used. Signing is optional unless specified in your contract.

All photographs, videos, and creative outputs remain the copyright of T/D Studios under the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, unless agreed otherwise in writing
(CDPA 1988, Legislation.gov.uk).

You may request removal of published images at any time unless use is protected by prior agreement or legal obligation.

Drone Photography and Compliance

All drone photography and videography carried out by T/D Studios adheres strictly to UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rules and the official UK Drone Code.

Our drone work is only conducted when conditions are fully compliant, including:

  • Maintaining safe distances from people and property
  • Avoiding no-fly zones or airspace restrictions
  • Monitoring weather, wind, and visibility conditions
  • Operating only under permitted weight categories
  • Ensuring appropriate insurance and registration (if required by drone class)

We never fly drones:

  • Over crowds
  • Near schools, airports, or private gardens without permission
  • In restricted areas without proper authorisation

We risk assess all drone shoots in advance. Any aerial footage that includes identifiable individuals or private locations is only used or published with appropriate consent.
